Voices Forward Course Offerings
Book Club (The Prose Project)
This is a guided reading based course offered at the G3 and the G5 levels. Each week students will be assigned a certain number of pages to read. Then, they will answer comprehension questions or complete exercises related to the reading for homework, developing close reading skills.
One lesson will be posted each week, one extra help session will be offered once a week, and organized student teacher meetings will happen at the end of each week.
This course will last 15 weeks.
Vocabulary Tutoring (The Prose Project)
This is a course that will expand the vocabulary of students using words from American curriculum. Each lesson will contain ten vocabulary words, and we will offer sessions at the G1-G3, G3-G5, and G5+ levels. After watching each lesson, students will complete assignments that will ingrain the vocabulary into their memory.
One lesson will be posted each week, one extra help session will be offered once a week, and organized student teacher meetings will happen at the end of each week.
This course will last between 10-15 weeks.
Grammar Tutoring (The Prose Project)
This is a course designed to help students understand English grammar. After watching each lesson students will complete a worksheet where they will apply the knowledge they learn. Two days after the lesson is posted, another answer key video will be posted. The answer key video will be a step by step walkthrough of the homework, explaining the answer to each question. We will offer sessions at the G1-G3, G3-G5, and G5+ levels.
One lesson and one answer key video will be posted each week, and extra help sessions will be offered once a week.
This couse will last between 10-15 weeks.
History Tutoring (The Prose Project)
This is a course designed to help students learn English and US History together. Students will practice reading comprehension, critical thinking, and analysis as they learn our history curriculum.
One lesson will be posted each week, one extra help session will be offered once a week, and organized student teacher meetings will happen at the end of each week.
This course will last 10 weeks.

Narrative Stories (The Prose Project)
This is a course designed to introduce students to the art of writing compelling narrative stories. Students will learn how to develop strong characters, create engaging plots, build believable settings, and use descriptive language to bring stories to life. Students will watch lesson videos, then apply what they’ve learned in their own writing. By the end of the course, students will have written at one complete narrative story.
One lesson will be posted each week, one extra help session will be offered once a week, and organized student teacher meetings will happen at the end of each week.
